The Sunday Sweater is a beautiful sweater that will be a versatile addition to your wardrobe - this is the bulkier version or the Mohair Edition
It is worked from the top down holding two yarn together - one Aran/10ply and one 2ply/lace. The yoke is worked in the round in rib and shaped with increases. The body and sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch and finished with rib edges. The sleeves on the Sunday Sweater are long and are worked with increases so they widen towards the cuff. After working the neck edge, it is knitted together to form a folded edge before the yoke is worked – alternatively it can be folded over and sewn to the inner side of the sweater at the end.
The sweater is designed to have approximately 10-15cm of ease (the finished garment to be 10-15cm larger than your bust circumference).

Yarn: Aran/10ply +2ply/Lace
Meterage: 350 (350) 400 (450) 450 (500) 550 g of 10ply or bulky 8ply yarn (50 g = 110 m)
held together with:
100 (100) 100 (125) 125 (125) 150 g Silk Mohair Yarn (25 g = 210 m)
Note: Two strands of yarn are held together throughout.

Needles: Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge
Circular needles: 6 mm [US10] / 40 and 80 cm, 7 mm / 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm
Double-pointed needles: 5 mm [US8] and 7 mm
Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows in stockinette stitch on 7 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm, after blocking
Level: Beginner +/ Intermediate
