It is hard to believe that Christmas is just a mere 17 days away! Sheesh....that seems to have come around rather quickly! I guess it always does. No? There is a lot to do between now and then - there are the usual Christmas preparations, end of school wrap up and to add to the mix, we are moving our family - and the Miss Maude base - half way up the country!
That means this is the last week to have your order shipped before we ship out and Christmas day is upon us all. If you order before 7pm Saturday 12 December, I'll make sure it is packed and shipped before Christmas. For New Zealand customers you will get your order before Christmas, unfortunately I can't guarantee delivery prior to Christmas for international customers. You will still be able to order after this date, but your order won't ship until 28 December.
So, where are we off to? We are moving to the lovely little village of Greytown, which is just an hour north of Wellington. While we love living in the mountains, we've made the pragmatic call to move closer to a main centre for work and business - and as a result keeping the family together under the same roof instead of scattered around airports!
I'll still be stocking beautiful fabrics, haberdashery, vintage supplies and patterns - plus I will be opening up the store by appointment. There is nothing quite like feeling lovely fabrics and rummaging through vintage finds! So if you live near Greytown, or if you find yourself there on your travels (it is an idyllic place to spend a weekend away!) do get in touch and pop in! I'd love to meet you, hear about your sewing projects, shoot the breeze, and show you what's in stock. I often have stock that I haven't listed online - particularly the vintage goodies!
If you've had your eye on something for a gift, or for a holiday sewing project - get it now, before you are made to wait!!
She has a thing for stacks of beautiful fabrics, delights in holding something made to last, and respects good craftsmanship. These are the driving forces behind the Miss Maude shop. And here are her musings.
